• Author Shares Keys to Reinventing Your Life
(Albany Democrat-Herald, October 28, 2025) Bonnie Milletto appreciates life and all it offers, even though life wasn’t always good to her as a youth.
Milletto grew up in foster homes in Albany. Then she was known as Bonnie Bolling.
“For me it was often abusive,” says the South Albany High School graduate. “I spent most of my childhood trying to hide that. When I left at 17, I carried my belongings in a shoebox, so I appreciate everything in life.”
Now she’s sharing her positive outlook in a new book, “Dedicated to the Cup: Nine Ways to Reinvent a Life.” To put it together, she recruited people whose life experiences speak to different areas of inspiration.
Chapters address themes such as courage, attitude, confidence and gratitude. All of these have been instrumental in Milletto’s life.
“I take pleasure in doing something people tell me I can’t do,” said Milletto, who has gained success as a motivational speaker. “I believe my experiences have prepared me for a greater life.”
